David Moyes has name-checked Jose Mourinho when discussing West Ham United‘s UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.
West Ham are ready to face AEK Larnaca in the last 16 of Europe’s third tier competition tomorrow night.

Moyes is under severe pressure in his role as Hammers boss and desperately needs a win tomorrow night.
Jose Mourinho has been touted as a potential replacement for Moyes as West Ham manager.
As things stand though, Moyes is believed to be safe in his role at the London Stadium…

Moyes’s sole focus will be on getting a result out in Cyprus tomorrow night.
If we win there and get a positive result against Aston Villa on Sunday, Moyes will have done enough to ease the pressure for another few weeks at least.
The Scot spoke to reporters this afternoon and responded when asked what winning the Conference League would mean to him, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“To win any trophy being a manager or a player, very few get that opportunity. Jose Mourinho showed how much it meant to him, he’s a serial winner. We wanted desperately to win the Europa League. We’ve got a job to do to reach a quarter-final now and I think that would be seen as a hell of an achievement to do that two years in a row.”
Jose Mourinho is certainly a manager who nows how to win, unlike Moyes!
I must say though, despite our Premier League struggles this season, West Ham have bene superb in Europe.
I’m confident that we will progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition and at that stage, it really is anyone’s to win.
David Moyes could emulate Jose Mourinho by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League this season. And if he does, it would be his first major trophy in his more than two-decade long managerial career.
