‘England calling’ as West Ham take ‘concrete steps’ to sound out ‘flattered’ Jose Mourinho according to a Roma source in a new report.
Many felt West Ham may have turned the corner after a recent morale-boosting 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
But all that good work was undone with the Hammers horror show in a defeat by the same scoreline to Brighton on Saturday.
It was yet another miserable afternoon for West Ham’s loyal travelling army who packed out the away end.
And it means West Ham have now won just 15 of their last 52 Premier League games under David Moyes.
West Ham’s hardcore away supporters turned on the Scot for the first time with three chants which made their feelings perfectly clear.

The result and fan reaction sparked a fresh round of speculation that Moyes is set to be sacked.
West Ham majority stakeholder David Sullivan told Hammers News the board were still behind the manager.
But he let it be known he – like the rest of us – was far from impressed with the performance.
A host of managers have been linked as potential replacements for Moyes this season from Rafa Benitez and Graham Potter to Mauricio Pochettino.
Now another former Spurs boss, Mourinho, is being linked – not for the first time – with the Hammers hotseat.
‘England is calling’ as West Ham take ‘concrete steps’ to sound out a ‘flattered’ Mourinho according to a Roma source.
An exclusive from La Roma 24 in Italy claims West Ham have delivered a ‘notable offer’ to Mourinho for a sensational return to London and the Premier League.
The report claims Mourinho is ‘flattered’ by West Ham’s interest and alleged offer of a ‘rich contract’. But La Roma 24 goes on to state the Portuguese ‘does not intend’ to take up the Hammers’ invitation.

“England calls. London again, but this time it’s West Ham,” La Roma 24 states.
“A notable offer for José Mourinho from the Premier League club has been delivered. Rich contract and ambitious project. Flattered, the Portuguese coach does not intend to take him into consideration…
“West Ham has concretely taken its steps. Mourinho would consider level solutions only when he understood that Roma could do without him. He is fine in Rome and would gladly stay. Planning to rub elbows with the club. And this is the great certainty for now.”
