David Moyes has moaned about the fact that his West Ham United team can’t score for love nor money but continues with the most defensive set up in the Premier League.
Truly unbelievable isn’t it! The man is deluded, and should have been sacked as West Ham manager a long, long time ago.

The Hammers have scored just 19 goals in 23 games in the Premier League this season – the joint fourth worst record in the top flight.
It has been painful to watch us this season. Moyes’s message to the players is clearly sit back, keep it tight and try and nick a goal in the last 10-15 minutes – Michail Antonio recently said as much.
Surely Moyes realises that this archaic mindset has no place in the modern game? Well, clearly not…
David Moyes makes ridiculous claim about West Ham’s lack of goals
The Scot addressed the media yesterday afternoon, after our 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
And Moyes responded when asked whether he is concerned by West Ham’s lack of goals, as quoted by Football.London:
I think we’ve not been scoring enough goals so what that has meant is that we need to try and make sure we don’t concede any goals. We went to Newcastle and we went a goal down and we nicked a goal from a set-piece. We played Chelsea, went a goal down and got one back and because we were, in the main, relatively strong defensively, it gave us a chance to get something from the game. Today, the first question when we came in is for a long period in the first half, we played really well both in defence and actually, our play was good, but we didn’t focus enough right at the start of the second half. Tottenham got a little bit of encouragement I felt from how we started and ultimately, it came down to a couple of really poor actions defensively. But, in saying that, it would have been good if we could have created more chances and created more opportunities than we did today because it’s something going forward, we’re going to have to find a way to get more chances.
He went on to say:
“Scoring goals is obviously one. Defensively, we’ve shown improvement. I know we’ve lost 2-0 today, but we’ve not lost many games by multiple goals and that’s because we work and we try to make sure we don’t concede to give us a chance of winning.”
I don’t know Dave, how about placing less emphasis on defensive solidarity and concentrate more on setting the team up in order to get the best out of the attacking players? That might give the Hammers a chance of winning!
How about not starting three DM’s against a team lacking in confidence in a huge derby that we couldn’t afford to lose?
How about playing two up front?
There are so many questions that need answering and I just don’t believe that Moyes is capable of answering them, nor does he have the ability to get West Ham out of the mess that we’re currently in.
The Hammers are in real trouble at the moment and Moyes is bereft of answers. If he is not too stubborn to take some advice, setting up his team with more attacking intent would solve our goalscoring issues in an instant.
I have no doubt that the Scot will not change his approach any time soon though. And that fossil-like way of thinking will lead us to relegation, I am certain of it.
