David Moyes made a couple of head-scratching decisions during the Brentford vs West Ham United clash yesterday afternoon.
The Brentford vs West Ham clash end with a 3-2 win for the home side, and the Hammers fans had a sour taste in our mouths after the match.
David Moyes was fuming with his players after the match, and it’s little wonder why, considering how poor they were in the second-half.
The Scot has overseen one win, a draw and five defeats in our last seven league games, and it’s believed that he is under real pressure in his role as manager at the London Stadium.
The last month has been an absolute disaster for West Ham, and as the pressure mounts on Moyes, he continues to make really poor decisions, time and time again.
Whilst some of the players definitely haven’t been good enough, the Hammers boss only has himself to blame in my opinion…

David Moyes made two absolutely head-scratching decisions that cost West Ham dearly vs Brentford
Listen, the second-half performance from the boys yesterday was absolutely shocking. They weren’t good enough, but questions have to be asked of Moyes as well. What on earth is he saying to the players at half-time?
My major gripe with the Scot yesterday though was the two substitutions he made in the 64th minute of the match.
On came Danny Ings and Pablo Fornals in place of Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma with around half an hour still to play.
What on earth was Moyes thinking with those subs? I get taking Antonio off, he was really poor today yet again. But why on earth is Ings replacing him? Three goals in 34 games for West Ham tells us all we need to know about the 31-year-old.
He shouldn’t be anywhere near the Hammers first-team squad in my view. He is absolutely shocking and plays with zero passion and commitment whilst picking up his massive wages. On a side note, he was the first player down the tunnel yesterday as well.
Benrahma should have stayed on and Moyes could have replaced Antonio with either Divin Mubama or Maxwel Cornet. Or the Scot could have brought both players on in place of Antonio and Benny.
Once the shocking Ings and the awful Fornals entered the fray, the game was as good as over. Moyes’s in-game management has always been poor to say the least, and the subs that he made during the Brentford vs West Ham clash yesterday were so incredibly poor that he really needs to be held accountable now.
Ings should never wear a West Ham shirt again, but the thing is, it’s Moyes who keeps playing him, so the buck stops with the Hammers boss.
