West Ham United are allegedly chasing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah ahead of the January transfer window.

Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah is attracting attention from West Ham, Tottenham and Bayern Munich, with the west London outfit keen to sell him in January, according to TEAMtalk.

West Ham wanted to sign the 24-year-old Blues defender in the summer transfer window, and he was allegedly keen to leave Stamford Bridge.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought Konstantinos Mavropanos to the London Stadium instead in the end.

However, it could be argued that the Scot needs to sign another central defender, with Angelo Ogbonna most likely in his final season at the club.

And it seems as though Chelsea star Chalobah is back on the radar of West Ham ahead of the January transfer window…

Chelsea have made Trevoh Chalobah decision

The Blues have decided to sell the 24-year-old, despite the fact that he was desperate to become a Stamford Bridge icon according to TEAMtalk.

And West Ham are in a three-way race to sign the Chelsea defender, alongside Tottenham and Bayern Munich.

I think Chalobah would be a superb addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old could be available for around £25 million this summer (Daily Mail).

Described as an ‘incredible’ defender by Football.London, Chalobah is exactly the kind of signing Moyes should be looking to make.

He’s quick along the ground, strong in the air and vitally for David Moyes, he has experience of playing Premier League football! In 25 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season, the centre-back averaged 1.2 tackles, one interception and 2.2 clearances per game (Who Scored).

He can play in defensive midfield as well as in central defence defence, so £25 million for him would be an absolute steal as far as I’m concerned.

However, he has been out injured with a hamstring problem for quite some time now, so that will be a big concern for Moyes and the Hammers fans.

That said, Trevoh Chalobah is still young enough to come back from that injury even better than he was before, and if Chelsea are in fact ready to sell him, then West Ham should jump at the chance to bring him to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

Whether we’re able to beat Tottenham and Bayern to his signature remains to be seen though.
