Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing West Ham United target Alex Scott from Bristol City in the summer.
That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that Newcastle are laying down the groundwork to bring the supremely talented 19-year-old to St James’ Park.

And that will be a big blow for West Ham, with David Moyes allegedly so keen to bring Scott to the London Stadium this summer (The Sun).

The Bristol City teenager has been described as the ‘new Grealish’. He is undoubtedly a huge talent, but it seems as though we will have our work cut out if we are to sign him this summer…
West Ham face Newcastle competition for Alex Scott
The Sun reckon that Toon boss Eddie Howe is keen to win the race for the £25 million man this summer.
That’s a real shame for the Hammers. I would absolutely love to see Moyes bring the 19-year-old starlet to the London Stadium.
Total Football Analysis have labelled Scott as ‘incredible’.
Scott bagged four goals and two assists in 38 Championship games for Bristol City last season and this term he has one goal and five assists to his name in 38 games (Transfermarkt).
The youngster is an attacking midfielder and seems to glide along the turf with grace and panache.
Scott possesses exceptional technical ability and in spite of his tenders years, he already has impressive physical strength.
The Robins have a history of getting top dollar for their players from Premier League clubs.

Brighton had to agree a club record £22m to prise Adam Webster away while Lloyd Kelly’s move to Bournemouth is worth up to £20m.
The likes of Josh Brownhill, Bobby Reid and Aiden Flint were also only allowed to leave Ashton Gate for significant fees.
And it seems as though it will be no different this time around with Bristol City demanding £25 million for the 19-year-old.
West Ham should be all over Alex Scott for that kind of money, but Newcastle’s interest in signing him will undoubtedly be a big problem for us.
