West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign brilliant Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that West Ham could battle Crystal Palace for the 19-year-old’s signature this summer.

Interestingly, West Ham tried to sign the talented teenager in January 2022.

So he is clearly someone who has been on the radar of Hammers boss David Moyes for quite some time now.
And it seems as though the Scot could be set to make another attempt to bring him to the London Stadium…
West Ham line up summer swoop for Alex Scott
The Sun reckon that the Hammers and Crystal Palace could be set for a tug of war for Scott’s signature in the summer transfer window.
Let’s hope that we win the race for the 19-year-old. What an unbelievable talent he is.
I think that the talented teenager would be a really exciting addition to Moyes’s ranks at West Ham.
Scott bagged four goals and two assists in 38 Championship games for Bristol City last season and this term he has one goal and five assists to his name in 37 games (Transfermarkt).
The youngster is an attacking midfielder and seems to glide along the turf with grace and panache. He is very similar to Manchester City star Jack Grealish in the way that he goes about his business (Daily Mail).
Scott possesses exceptional technical ability and in spite of his tenders years, he already has impressive physical strength.
The teenager undoubtedly won’t come cheap though. The Sun claim that West Ham must pay at least £20 million to prise Alex Scott away from Bristol City.

The Robins have a history of getting top dollar for their players from Premier League clubs.
Brighton had to agree a club record £22m to prise Adam Webster away while Lloyd Kelly’s move to Bournemouth is worth up to £20m.
The likes of Josh Brownhill, Bobby Reid and Aiden Flint were also only allowed to leave Ashton Gate for significant fees.
If £20 million is what’s needed to sign Alex Scott, West Ham shouldn’t think twice about bringing him to the London Stadium. He is a special, special talent.
