Manchester United is a more attractive prospect than West Ham United to Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi.
According to a report from football journalist Ignazio Genuardi, Manchester United and West Ham both want to sign Axel Disasi from Monaco this summer.

However, Man United are more likely to sign the 25-year-old defender than the Hammers are.

It is alleged that he could be available for around £44 million in the summer transfer window.
David Moyes and Erik ten Hag will both be keen to strengthen their central defensive ranks at the London Stadium and Old Trafford respectively before the start of next season.
And both managers are seemingly after the same man…
West Ham could miss out on Axel Disasi to Manchester United
Football journalist Ignazio Genuardi claims that the French central defender would prefer to join Man United over West Ham this summer:
That’s obviously bad news for West Ham. If Disasi has a choice between the Hammers and Man United this summer, it’s pretty obvious what the outcome will be.
And that’s a big shame – the Monaco defender would be an exceptional addition for West Ham.
He was part of Didier Deschamps’ France World Cup squad, and impressed for Les Bleus out in Qatar.
Disasi is an absolute powerhouse of a centre-back, and he can play as a right-back as well.
The Frenchman possesses pace in abundance, has composure in possession and is incredibly strong both in the air and on the ground in the tackle.
In 31 Ligue 1 games for Monaco so far this season, Disasi has racked up three goals and three assists. During those outings he has averaged one tackle, 1.6 interceptions, 3.1 clearances and 2.6 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

The France international is a very solid passer of the football as well. In 31 Ligue 1 games for Monaco this term, he has made 51.3 passes on average per match and has recorded an average completion rate of 83.5% (Who Scored).
Disasi has been described as an ‘elite’ talent by The Monaco Tribune. He really is a hugely exciting young talent, and has everything needed to be a big hit in the Premier League. Standing at 6ft 3in and built like a brick wall, the Frenchman should have no problem adjusting to the physical intensity of English football.
The Monaco defender is exactly the type of signing that the Hammers should be making.
However, it seems as though Manchester United have a far better chance of signing Axel Disasi than West Ham do this summer.
