Jarrod Bowen has honestly admitted that he wasn’t producing the goods for West Ham United earlier this season.
West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen has recently rediscovered his best form and it’s no coincidence that that has happened after the pressure of making the England World Cup squad was lifted from his shoulders.

The 26-year-old has been on fire for the Hammers recently, with three goals and two assists in his last six games (Transfermarkt).

West Ham need Bowen to be on top form between now and the end of the season if we are to pull away from relegation trouble and enjoy a successful European campaign.
The ex-Hull attacker has certainly made big improvements since Premier League action resumed after the World Cup break…
Jarrod Bowen makes honest admission about West Ham form
The 26-year-old was well off the pace during the first few months of the 2022/23 campaign and looked like an absolute shadow of his former self.
However, we are just starting to see the best of Jarrod Bowen again, and he told WHUFC.com why he believes that he struggled pre-World Cup:

“Since after the World Cup, I feel I’ve been back to my best. People might say it’s not my best because I’m not scoring goals, but my general play and assists have been there and I’ve always said goals will come, as long as I’m doing my bit for the team, whether that be sprinting and not letting the ball go in or slide tackling someone to block a shot, assisting or scoring, I’ll always do what I can for the team. I think there has been a proper weight lifted off my shoulders. I’ve spoken about it before that I wasn’t happy with my performances before the World Cup when there was a lot riding on them, and now I feel free again. It’s about how I deal with those situations differently and I feel good since we’ve been back and today, to get the goal, I was over the moon.”
Let’s hope that Bowen really has rediscovered his best form. He certainly seems like he is playing with much more confidence again.
A fully fit and firing Jarrod Bowen is always a handful, and having him produce his best stuff between now and the end of the season will be huge for West Ham.
The Hammers are certainly a much better team when the 26-year-old is on song.
