And talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has claimed that the 24-year-old Hammers midfielder is ‘excited’ at the prospect of linking up with the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta would obviously love Rice at Arsenal, who wouldn’t want him?
And it seems as though the feeling is very much mutual as far as Dec is concerned…
Declan Rice excited to leave West Ham for Arsenal
talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook claims that the 24-year-old Hammers skipper has his eye on a big move to the Gunners in the summer transfer window.
If the truth be told, I have made peace with the fact that Declan Rice will be leaving now – whether that is to join Arsenal or another club is irrelevant really.
The thing that worries me is our ability as a club to bring in the correct replacement for the 24-year-old.

It could be agreed that we will actually have to sign two central midfielders to do the job that Rice does for us.
Declan Rice has proven with his performances for West Ham over the past few years that he is one of the very best at what he does in world football, and if he joins Arsenal, he’ll take them to another level entirely.
The thought of losing Rice is a painful one. Nevertheless, it’s now a formality in my opinion.
Wherever Rice does end up playing his football next season, I’m sure he’ll be a huge success.
