Well-renowned football pundit Alan Shearer has absolutely raved about ‘mastermind’ West Ham United manager David Moyes.

The West Ham boss guided his side to a vital 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium on Saturday – a result that lifted us outside of the Premier League relegation zone.

Moyes has been much maligned this season, and rightly so – he has performed terribly in his role as manager in my opinion.

“His decision to start with a back four proved to be an excellent choice as he masterminded West Ham to a dominant victory against Nottingham Forest.”

The West Ham fans have been calling for him to do this for the entire season. The fact that he mixed things up and went with a more attacking setup is commendable, but at the same time it’s incredibly frustrating that he was too stubborn not to do it sooner.

The fact that he was so inept for six months before bowing down to fan pressure does not make him worthy of huge praise in my opinion.

Alan Shearer chose to laud David Moyes, but I kind of feel like he has missed the point.
