So Hollywood A-lister and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is a Hammer it seems – who would have thought that West Ham fans!

West Ham and Bryan Cranston surely haven’t been mentioned in a sentence together before, but that has all changed now.

The Hammers have made a name for ourselves over the past few years, with some of the biggest celebrities in the world pledging their allegiance to us.

The likes of movie star Dave Bautista, Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl, Keira Knightley and former WWE wrestler Triple H are all known to be West Ham fans, as well as the obvious boyhood supporters like Ray Winstone, Danny Dyer, Lennox Lewis and James Corden.

Another name on the list is singer Pixie Lott who we interviewed exclusively right here on Hammers News a few years back.

David Moyes has overseen a tremendous run of success for us over the past three or four years, and that has clearly helped with spreading our name across the Atlantic to the United States of America.

As the song goes…’West Ham are massive everywhere we go’. Now another one of the most famous faces from the TV screen has pledged his allegiance to the Irons…

Bryan Cranston is a Hammer and it’s not Breaking Bad news for West Ham

Cranston is the latest name on a long list of celebrities to have pledged allegiance to the Hammers.

The Breaking Bad star was in a bar out in America when someone behind the camera handed him a West Ham scarf.

Cranston responded by saying ‘West Ham United, I’ll hold it up for you’. The video was posted by West Ham United’s official North American X account:

How great is that to see. Whether he is a genuine supporter of West Ham or not is unclear, but what I do know is the fact that I haven’t seen him pictured holding up scarves of any other clubs!

Maybe we’ll see him over the London Stadium some day soon.

Who is Bryan Cranston

He was clearly destined for a life of fame after he was born the second of three children in Hollywood, Los Angeles on March 7th 1956.

Cranston graduated from Canoga Park High School, where he was ironically a member of the school’s chemistry club, before embarking on an acting career.

The Hollywood star recently opened up on his father walking out on him and his siblings when he was just 11, and he has claimed that the ‘Walter White’ character was partially based on his dad (Independent).

Cranston’s acting breakthrough came in the mid-90’s when he was handed a starring role in hit US sitcom ‘Malcom in the Middle’.

However, he found real stardom when he played Walter White, also known by the hilarious ‘Heisenberg’ alias, in the Emmy and Golden Globe award winning TV show Breaking Bad.

The show – one about a school chemistry teacher who ‘broke bad’ and resorted to producing and selling narcotics in order to pay for the cancer treatment that he required – was a mass hit, and won 92 awards from different bodies after receiving 248 nominations (Wikipedia).

Starring alongside Aaron Paul, who played the character Jesse Pinkman, Cranston became a real household name.

Since the halycon days of Breaking Bad, Cranston has starred in TV shows such as Sneaky Pete’ and ‘Your Honor’, as well as hit film ‘The Infiltrator’ and cult classic ‘Jerry and Marge Go Large’.

The 68-year-old, who has a net worth of around $40 million (Celebrity Net Worth), was a late bloomer in the acting business.

However, now he’s widely considered to be one of the best in his field. In answer to the question who is Bryan Cranston – he’s a hugely successful a-list Hollywood actor, oh…and now he’s a West Ham fan as well it seems!
