The West Ham players worked incredibly hard against Liverpool and they got their just rewards.

Incredibly, the Hammers are now sitting in third spot in the Premier League table, just three points adrift of leaders Chelsea!

How far we have come since David Moyes took over at the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would have known that yesterday was going to be a really tough game against West Ham.

The German may have been surprised at just how compact and well-drilled we were though.

West Ham fans will love Jack Wilshere comments to Jamie Carragher

The ex-Hammer was a guest in the studio for Sky Sports yesterday.

The West Ham fans haven’t always warmed to Wilshere after his disastrous spell at the London Stadium and his subsequent exit where he talked somewhat derogatorily about the club.

Wilshere will have got himself back in the good books in East London, however, after what he said live on air during Sky Sports’ coverage of yesterday’s game (Sunday November 7th, 7:15pm):

“I didn’t think it was (a red card). If you slow it down like that it always looks worse.”

Carrager then responded:

“Does it look better at full speed?”

And Wilshere snapped back brilliantly:

“I’ve seen you make a few of them in your time. He’s a scouser as well, so…no I didn’t think it was, I still don’t think it is.”

Wilshere is spot on here.

What Carragher has failed to recognise is the fact that Aaron Cresswell’s foot bounced up off the ball into Jordan Henderson’s leg.

The so-called big six are always looking for decisions to go their way that they believe they are entitled to.

At the end of the day, we beat Liverpool 3-2. They can argue all they want, but that result will stand.
