Edson Alvarez came on as a late substitute for West Ham yesterday, during our magnificent win over London rivals Chelsea.

Hammers boss David Moyes would have been absolutely delighted with the result, and the second-half performance from his team in particular.

Every player, to a man, put in a real shift yesterday against the Blues, and Alvarez’s cameo appearance was a really impressive one. The Mexican has already made a huge impression on the West Ham fans.
It seems as though he impressed one of the Hammers’ reported transfer targets as well…
West Ham transfer target likes Edson Alvarez Instagram post after 3-1 win over Chelsea
The 25-year-old Hammers ace took to Instagram after yesterday’s 3-1 victory.
And Mohammed Kudus responded:
I mean, it could mean absolutely nothing. Alvarez and Kudus played together for years at Ajax.
However, it might just mean that the Ghanaian is pushing for a move to the London Stadium. He is obviously close with the Mexico international and I would be shocked if they haven’t been speaking to each other, discussing a potential transfer.
I would love Mohammed Kudus to join West Ham this summer, and his comment on the Edson Alvarez Instagram post could mean that he’s keeping a very close eye on the Hammers.
He’s said to be trying to force through a move to the London Stadium this summer.
Hopefully Moyes manages to push this one through.
