The Hammers have made a brilliant start to the season and we are currently sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League table.

Yesterday’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers was undoubtedly a bump in the road for West Ham.

We can’t win every single game though, that goes without saying.

What matters now is how we respond to our 1-0 defeat at Molineux.

The Hammers have shocked numerous teams over the past 18 months and we will undoubtedly continue to do so.

Finishing inside the top four will be an incredibly hard task this season but we are more than capable of doing so.

Could we go one step further though?

Tim Sherwood responds when asked if West Ham can win the Premier League

Emulating Leicester’s 2016 Premier League title success will be nigh on impossible considering some of the teams that we are competing with.

Sherwood thinks that West Ham have a chance though. He told Sky Sports (Saturday November 20th, 1:44pm):

“Can they win the league? We said that Leicester had absolutely no chance (in 2016). And look what happened. Listen, if they keep believing, there’s every chance they can win the league. With new investment, if Moyes gets more money in January you never know. You never know how far they can go, certainly top four.”

That’s a very bold shout from Sherwood.

As good as we have been over the past 18 months, winning the league this season would be an even bigger achievement that Leicester’s in 2016.

We would bite your hand off for a top four finish this season. David Moyes has overseen a huge turnaround at the London Stadium.

Sherwood has surely got carried away with his comments on West Ham’s title chances though.

We still have a very long way to go before we can compete consistently with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
