Photo: Chelsea ace Reece James lets himself down as West Ham ace Manuel Lanzini steals the show

Chelsea man Reece James tried to put off West Ham star Manuel Lanzini before he scored our equaliser from the penalty spot at the London Stadium yesterday.

He was seen screaming in Lanzini’s ear just before the Argentinian ace slotted home past Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The West Ham ace showed great composure and courage to score and he let James know all about it after the ball hit the back of the net.

The below picture shows just much Reece James was trying to get inside Lanzini’s head before the South American buried the penalty:

Despite scoring the penalty, West Ham went behind yet again after Mason Mount scored a brilliant goal for Chelsea.

The Hammers got our revenge in the end though.

The 21-year-old Blues ace has been sensational this season.

He has fully established himself as a key player for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

James’s antics before Lanzini’s penalty yesterday was totally unnecessary though.

That kind of petty school playground behaviour gets you nowhere at the highest level.

West Ham were thoroughly deserving of our win in the end yesterday.

There’s no way that we can go toe-to-toe with teams like Chelsea as far as possession football goes. David Moyes has his own theories and ways of winning though.

And despite all of Chelsea’s efforts, including some unsavoury behaviour, it just wasn’t enough to stop the Hammers bandwagon.

It’s understandable though…we are massive after all.
