Paul Merson absolutely raved about one outstanding West Ham player when speaking on Sky Sports Gillette Soccer Saturday yesterday afternoon (Saturday November 20th, 1:42pm).
The Hammers lost at Wolves yesterday but it was a very rare slip up for us this season.
David Moyes has completely transformed West Ham as a team on the pitch and a club off the pitch.
One of the Scot’s most valuable assets is the manner in which he has improved nigh on every single Hammers player to a man.
One player in particular has reaped the benefits of playing under David Moyes.
Paul Merson says ‘absolutely outstanding’ West Ham ace is a ‘manager’s dream’
The Sky Sports pundit absolutely raved about Jarrod Bowen yesterday afternoon.
Merson suggested that the pocket sized 24-year-old is every manager’s dream, when speaking on Sky Sports:
“He’s a manager’s dream, an absolute manager’s dream. You tell him what to do and he will do it. You never see Moyes having to tell him to do his job. He’s a real good player and a good pro. He’s absolutely outstanding, I couldn’t talk highly enough of the lad.”
Bowen has been absolutely brilliant for the Hammers this season.
He was nowhere near his best against Wolves at Molineux yesterday but that was a complete one-off.
The former Hull City ace possesses a work-rate than can be matched by few and he has genuine quality as well.
Bowen has bagged 12 goals and 15 assists in 71 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt). He is capable of so much more than that though.
If the 24-year-old improves upon his composure in the final third, he has the talent and ability to be racking up double figure goals and assists every season he plays.
As Merson said, he is a manager’s dream. And we’re very lucky to have Bowen at the London Stadium.
