New signing Thilo Kehrer has lifted the lid on what players have to do as an initiation at West Ham after joining the club in the summer.
Kehrer had entered the final year of his contract at PSG which meant West Ham were able to get the German international for just £10m.
And that is already looking like one of the bargains of the season, not just for West Ham, but across the Premier League.
Kehrer’s speed, passing, enthusiasm, desire, positional play and versatility has seriously impressed West Ham fans so far.

It is not just on the pitch where Kehrer is already having an influence, though.
It is clear the 25-year-old is already respected and appreciated by his teammates.
And that may not be solely based on his attitude and performances as new signing Kehrer lifts the lid on what players have to do as an initiation at West Ham!
Most football teams make new signings perform a song in front of the whole squad as part of an initiation.
But speaking to Sky Sports, the German has revealed at West Ham things are a bit different – and much more expensive.
West Ham’s new arrivals have to foot the bill for a team dinner.
“No, no, no, no (we don’t have to do initiation songs at West Ham),” Kehrer told Sky Sports.

“We don’t do it here. But we are going out as a team sometimes for a dinner or something like that and I think that there the new guys are taking the bill.”
With eight summer arrivals one might think the likes of Kehrer, Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca have got off lightly and can split the bill.
But in fact it will just mean more dinners out as a squad, which can only be good for West Ham’s team spirit.
“It depends (splitting the bill with other new signings) because some team dinners were already before the latest guys came,” Kehrer added.
“So now I am somebody of the new guys but already of the older ones. So there are new guys that are taking the bill now!”
