Hammers boss David Moyes says he’s been absolutely amazed by what new signing Thilo Kehrer has done behind the scenes at West Ham.
Most West Ham fans knew very little about Kehrer when the club moved to sign the defender from PSG.
Kehrer had entered the final year of his contract in Paris which meant West Ham were able to get the German international for just £10m.

And that is already looking like one of the bargains of the summer, not just for West Ham, but across the Premier League.
It says a lot about Kehrer’s performances so far that despite giving away a penalty on his Prem debut and scoring an own goal against bitter rivals Spurs, he is already a big fan favourite at West Ham.
Kehrer’s speed, passing, enthusiasm, desire and positional play has seriously impressed West Ham fans so far.

He has been excellent and was named man of the match for his performance in West Ham’s first league win of the season at Villa last week.
The 25-year-old was also in the mix for man of the match against Spurs too.
It is not just on the pitch where Kehrer is already having an influence, though.
His manager Moyes says he’s absolutely amazed by what new signing Kehrer has done behind the scenes at West Ham.

“Amazingly, I already see Thilo Kehrer stepping up in the dressing room,” Moyes said ahead of the clash with Chelsea (Yahoo).
“Big personality, big voice.
“I said about players taking time to adapt, and it may sound like a manager’s excuse, but I actually think he has adapted really well.
“He has had a couple of moments but you would have to say he has come in and played well and showed in the dressing room he has a voice and is trying to help the players.”

And it seems the appreciation between West Ham fans and Kehrer is mutual.
Speaking to the club’s official website this week, the Germany star says he loves what he has experienced of the West Ham fans so far.
“We heard the fans all game (against Villa),” Kehrer told whufc.com.
“We felt that (noise). They pushed us – it gave us extra energy, and we really needed that. The atmosphere is really special. I have heard a lot about the fans before, and now I have experienced it: I have to say I love it.”
