The 27-year-old joined the Hammers from Chelsea in the summer for just under £30 million.

Zouma has made an instant impression at the London Stadium and has already established himself as one of the most important players David Moyes has at his disposal at West Ham.

The Hammers have made a fabulous start to our 2021/22 Premier League campaign and we are currently sitting in fourth spot in the table.

West Ham are through to the last 16 of the Europa League and have a Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham to look forward to.

Moyes’s men are in the midst of a rough patch, however, having taken just one point from our last three league games. And West Ham face Chelsea at the London Stadium tomorrow. Things certainly aren’t getting any easier for the Hammers.

Zouma makes plea to the West Ham fans

The France international is determined to bounce back from Wednesday’s disappointing draw with Brighton.

Zouma spoke to WHUFC.com and urged the London Stadium faithful to get right behind the team:

“They will help us a lot. We’re going to be at home and we’re going to need their support because it’s a big derby, a big game for us. Obviously, we’re playing against one of the best teams at the minute as they’re top of the League. It won’t be easy and for sure they will be very needed and very important.”

Zouma doesn’t need to ask the West Ham fans to get behind the team.

Aside from a select few, the majority of us will always support whichever team Moyes puts out on the pitch.

West Ham United’s clash with Chelsea tomorrow will be a hugely important one in the context of our season. If the Hammers players reach the same levels they did against Liverpool last month, we will be just fine.

And if the London Stadium is bouncing like it was that day, the West Ham fans could very well end up being our 12th man.
