Dimitar Berbatov suggested that the international break came at a bad time for West Ham, when speaking exclusively to the Metro.

The Hammers beat Liverpool 3-2 last time out after an absolutely brilliant display from David Moyes’s men.
West Ham jumped above the Reds into third spot in the Premier League table 13 days ago.

The Hammers fans, the players and Moyes himself were absolutely buzzing after the brilliant 3-2 win at the London Stadium.
The West Ham players would undoubtedly have preferred to play again immediately after the win over Liverpool. There was an international break, however, and it has been suggested that our momentum may have been halted as a result.
Dimitar Berbatov thinks West Ham momentum may have been halted
The Hammers have had to wait 13 days for our next game after beating Liverpool at the London Stadium.
And Berbatov told the Metro why that may be a problem for the East London outfit:

“West Ham are doing great at the moment and I’m happy for them. Wolves are doing well too. I don’t think the international break came at good time for West Ham, they were on such a high after beating Liverpool, so they will need to build up that momentum again.”
Berbatov certainly has a point here.
We don’t believe the two weeks off will have affected our momentum one little bit, however, such is the team spirit and feel-good factor at West Ham at the moment.
David Moyes wouldn’t allow it to happen.
These are great times to be a West Ham fan.
With Moyes at the helm, we are on course to achieve something really special.
