West Ham United star Emerson Palmieri has been speaking to the press about his manager David Moyes.

David Moyes brought Emerson Palmieri to West Ham in the summer of 2022, and the 29-year-old is clearly already one of his strongest allies.

The Italian made a slow start to life with the Hammers but Moyes kept faith in his ability, and he is now one of the first names on the team-sheet.

It seems like that loyalty goes both ways. Emerson is clearly a huge fan of his manager.

The former Chelsea man has just emphatically put to bed any talk of the Scot being disliked by the players at the London Stadium…

Emerson Palmieri puts David Moyes rumours to bed in emphatic style

The Italian has been speaking to The Athletic about all things West Ham.

And he offered huge praise for the ‘father like’ David Moyes, explaining how hard the gaffer works with the players:

“The manager is like a father to us because he tries to help in every aspect, on and off the field. He works a lot with us on the mental aspect of our game. I love playing football, I play with a smile on my face, I try to always be happy.”

Now, those comments go completely against the rumours that emerged about Moyes toward the end of last season.

With the Hammers struggling down near the bottom of the Premier League table back in March, Claret and Booze made a series of claims about the West Ham boss that apparently came from a first-team insider.

The biggest of the lot was that Moyes was disliked by his players and staff. And Emerson’s comments on David Moyes prove what a load of old rubbish those claims were.

At the time, it was easy to believe all of the talk about the Scot because of how poorly we were doing in the Premier League. However, we must remember to stop and consider the agendas of the people who are making accusations about others, in whatever walk of life.

Moyes is clearly a very popular figure amongst the players at the London Stadium, and the incredible thing is that he’s turning things around with large sections of the fans as well.
