Danny Ings has proven to be nothing other than a total waste of money since joining West Ham United in January.
West Ham paid £15 million to bring Danny Ings to the London Stadium from Aston Villa last winter (Sky Sports).

The 31-year-old is painfully ill-suited to the system deployed by Hammers boss David Moyes and it begs the question: Why did the Scot sign him in the first place? It was nothing more than a pure panic buy if you ask me.

It was alleged that Ings snubbed a move to Everton on transfer deadline day in the summer.
Moyes was obviously trying to move him on from the club in the summer, so why did he start him last night ahead of Divin Mubama? What a complete waste of time that was, and so it proved with Ings’ poor display against League One Lincoln City…
45th minute incident summed up Danny Ings shocking West Ham career, he was awful vs Lincoln
The 31-year-old striker put in his usual poor performance in front of goal for the Hammers at the LNER Stadium last night.
The former Aston Villa, Southampton, Liverpool and Burnley forward just looks absolutely miles off the pace.
And something he did in the 45th minute last night summed up his West Ham career so far. After Lukasz Fabianski made a brilliant save, the Hammers went up the other end, only for Ings to fluff his lines in front of goal…
The sad thing is that Ings is clearly really lacking in confidence, and that won’t change any time soon.
Michail Antonio starts week in, week out in the Premier League, so it’s incredibly hard for the 31-year-old to build up any kind of rhythm when he’s playing once every few weeks.
I think West Ham should sell Danny Ings in January, even if it’s for a huge loss on the money we paid for him nine months ago.
The striker will never fit into Moyes’s side, so continuing to play him is just like flogging a dead horse. It’s time that the 31-year-old and the Hammers went their separate ways.
