The 22-year-old has been truly sensational for the Hammers over the past 18 months or so.

And it seems as though he has found yet another level this season.

Rice’s consistency is arguably the most impressive thing about him.

He just never seems to have a bad game for West Ham!

Like a fine thoroughbred, Rice has pace, power and a way of effortlessly gliding up the pitch that just makes the game look so easy.

He was exceptional once again two weeks ago against Liverpool.

But he would have had a great excuse, had he not been up to his usual high standards.

Moyes makes surprise Rice admission that will shock West Ham fans

The 22-year-old ran the show at the London Stadium during our incredible 3-2 win over Liverpool…especially during the second-half.

Moyes spoke to reporters today and shared how Rice actually had a great excuse not to be at his best, as quoted by Football.London:

“We are thrilled to have European games, and I hope it becomes Wednesday Saturday. We have more players away than we have had in the past so this is new territory but I am hoping the players are all fine. England for example had lots of players drop out. Rice played against Liverpool with a terrible virus and still played very well.”

That just sums up Rice’s dedication and commitment to West Ham.

It would have been easy for him to cry off sick or not give his all because he didn’t feel at his best.

It was the exact opposite though and that tells us all we need to know about Dec’s character.

Those who ever question Rice’s commitment to West Ham need their heads checked. He is clearly delighted to be at the London Stadium and will run through brick walls for us.
