The Hammers put in a top-class performance at Goodison Park and left with a much-deserved three points.
David Moyes would have been delighted with his West Ham team.
The way the Hammers passed the ball, closed down the opposition and ran with energy and purpose was quite simply breathtaking.

Had we returned to the London Stadium with just a point, the fans, players, manager and the coaching staff would have been absolutely gutted.
Luckily for us, Ogbonna rose high late on to head home and give us the 1-0 win. The Italian refused to take any credit, however, and was very complimentary of two of his Hammers teammates.
Angelo Ogbonna thinks West Ham have two ‘fantastic’ players on their hands
The 33-year-old spoke to WHUFC.com and offered high words of praise for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek:

“I think it was very, very important [to win]. We kept a clean sheet and got what we deserved today. It was a totally hard game, but I think the players in the middle of the park, like Tomas [Soucek] and Dec [Rice], played fantastically. They helped us to keep a clean sheet.”
Ogbonna is spot on here. Soucek and Rice were magnificent against Everton…especially Dec.
Big Tom was back to somewhere near his best but Rice…just wow, what a performance form the 22-year-old.
Our central midfield pivot will be key to our hopes of finishing inside the top six again this season. And it was great to see Rice and Soucek return to their former roles yesterday afternoon.

We are very, very lucky to have Dec and Tomas at West Ham. And Ogbonna’s comments yesterday proved just how important the duo are for us.
