West Ham are keen to sign Dani Vivian from Athletic Bilbao according to a report from TEAMtalk.
The 22-year-old centre-back is very highly rated in the Basque country and has been in very fine form so far this season.
Hammers boss David Moyes brought Kurt Zouma to the London Stadium in the summer.
The Scot may well be keen to bolster his central defensive ranks even further still, however, with Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson set to turn 34 and 32 respectively before the end of the season.
And the West Ham chief seems to have his eye on one player in particular.
West Ham keen to sign Dani Vivian
That’s according to a report from TEAMtalk.
The 22-year-old Bilbao ace is a very impressive young talent. He is so highly rated at the San Mames that he has a £34 million release clause inserted into his current contract (TEAMtalk).
His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023, however, and the report alludes to the fact that he could be moved on for a bargain fee either in January or next summer if he fails to sign a new deal.
In seven La Liga appearances for Bilbao so far this season, Vivian has averaged 1.6 tackles, 4.9 clearances and one block per game (Who Scored).
During those outings, the Spaniard has made 35.9 passes per game on average and has recorded a completion rate of 83.7%.
He seems like a very solid all-round defender. Vivian would surely be a very useful addition for West Ham.
Especially if we manage to pick him up for a bargain fee.
