Declan Rice has absolutely raved about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, after his heroics for England in our World Cup opener against Iran.
Saka has been in scintillating form for Arsenal so far this season, and he carried that on into the World Cup with England yesterday.
The 21-year-old Gunners ace bagged two goals for the Three Lions against Iran, and alongside Jude Bellingham, he was one of the two star men for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Saka is such a special talent. He is an unbelievable dribbler, has unreal pace and his technical ability is off the charts. What makes him truly elite though is his mentality and ability to bounce back from adversity.
The Arsenal man suffered heartache at the Euros last year, missing the deciding spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out against Italy in the final.
And Rice alluded to that when speaking to reporters…
Bukayo Saka England heroics lauded by Rice
Dec has been speaking to the media about England’s 6-2 victory against Iran yesterday.
And the West Ham star reserved special praise for the Gunners ace, as quoted by the Evening Standard:

It’s unbelievable what he’s done. It says everything about his strength of character. You saw what happened last summer, everyone was with him then. He is flourishing with Arsenal, he is playing with a smile on his face. You see him around the training ground, he is the happiest person around the place. We are all so happy for him.
It’s great to hear Dec talk about Saka like that.
Not only is the Arsenal star an exceptional talent but he is obviously a great person to be around as well.
If England are to have any chance of winning the World Cup in Qatar, we need Bukayo Saka to be on his very best form.
And judging by yesterday’s performance, that seems to be almost a formality.
