West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen has been dropped from the England squad for tonight’s Nation’s League clash with Germany.
The 25-year-old was rewarded for his fine form for the Hammers last season with a call-up to Southgate’s England squad for the four Nation’s League fixtures in June.

Bowen earned four caps but after that, he began the 2022/23 campaign for West Ham in truly horrendous form.

The ex-Hull City man was selected as part of the England squad for the 1-0 defeat to Italy on Friday night, but he saw no action.
And things have now got a lot worse for Bowen…
England squad call a huge blow for Jarrod Bowen
Gareth Southgate has omitted Bowen from his match-day squad all together for tonight’s clash with Germany.
That’s according to The Athletic who claim that the West Ham winger has suffered the same fate as Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, AC Milan ace Fikayo Tomori and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
We’re not one bit surprised by that decision, given Bowen’s horrendous form for West Ham so far this season.

Southgate’s decision will be a huge blow for the 25-year-old with the 2022 World Cup out in Qatar just over six weeks away.
The 25-year-old will now have to start performing to a high level on a consistent basis for West Ham, if he is to have any chance whatsoever of being part of the England World Cup squad.
Maybe this is the kick up the backside that the Hammers attacker really needs.
Jarrod Bowen needs to buck his ideas up and fast. If he doesn’t, he will face World Cup heartache. And Gareth Southgate’s decision to drop him from he England squad tonight proves that.
