When is the Europa League draw? West Ham are awaiting which side they will meet in the last 16 of the competition.
The Hammers finished as Group winners meaning that we don’t have to face one of the eight teams who finished in third place of their respective Champions League groups.
David Moyes has brilliantly guided his West Ham team through our Europa League campaign this season.
And we will finish top of Group H regardless of the result tonight at the London Stadium against Dinamo Zagreb.
What a time this is to be a Hammers fan!
We could meet some of the game’s biggest clubs in the last 16 of the Europa League. Teams like Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Porto and RB Leipzig are in the hat for the play-offs.
The draw for the those matches against the eight Europa League runner-ups is due to take place on December 13th at 11 am at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland.
The ensuing two-legged ties will then take place on February 17th and 24th.
But When is the Europa League draw for the last 16?
Once the eight teams are known, the draw for the last 16 will then take place on Friday, February 25th in Nyon, Switzerland according to UEFA’s official website.
That will be a date that all West Ham will want to make a note of.
The prospect of going away to a stadium like the Camp Nou or Signal Iduna Park will be an incredibly tantalising one for the Hammers faithful.
Whatever team we draw will represent a really tough test.
West Ham have been superb this season though and we really shouldn’t fear anyone.
Roll on February 25th when we find out who were will be playing in the last 16. The two-legged ties will then be played on March 10th and 17th.
