Carlton Cole absolutely raved about one West Ham United player during our Europa Conference League clash with AZ Alkmaar tonight.

West Ham really weren’t at the races at home to AZ Alkmaar tonight in the Europa Conference League semi-final at the London Stadium, but Carlton Cole did find time to praise one Hammers player.

Benrahma was the one player out there tonight who really took the game to the opposition. He constantly tried to make things happen and scored from the spot with a brilliant penalty in the second-half.

“Benrahma has been unreal to be fair, he’s been great.”

Cole is right, Benrahma was absolutely superb tonight, and showed the courage needed to try and make a difference for us.

I’m a huge fan of the Algerian and he’ll always have my backing as long as he continues to take responsibility on the ball for the Hammers.

What a performance it was from Benrahma tonight.

And Carlton Cole’s praise of the 27-year-old West Ham star’s display vs AZ Alkmaar should give him a huge confidence boost heading into the final few weeks of the season.
