Julen Lopetegui names six West Ham players who Sevilla fear

Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui has raved about six West Ham players in particular ahead of tonight’s crunch Europa League clash.

The Hammers welcome Sevilla to the London Stadium for what could be an absolutely monumental night for the football club.

West Ham lost 1-0 out in Seville in the first-leg last week and the tie is very finely poised ahead of tonight’s 8pm kick-off in East London.

A place in the Europa League quarter-finals is up for grabs tonight and both West Ham and Sevilla will be desperate to be in the hat for the draw.

If the Hammers players are on their games tonight, the La Liga side could be in for a really tough game. And Lopetegui is well ware of that fact.

The Hammers will undoubtedly take the game to Sevilla tonight. And with the London Stadium set to be rocking, there is no reason why we can’t progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Sevilla will represent a very stern test indeed but the Spaniards are clearly wary of West Ham as well.

Lopetegui named six West Ham players who Sevilla are particularly fearful of when speaking to reporters yesterday, as quoted by Football London:

“I am expecting we will play a team with extraordinary players who will create difficulties for us. They can cause damage in many ways, Benrahma, Vlasic, Antonio, Fornals are really good players. Rice, Lanzini, so many good players. The set pieces are dangerous as well so the most important thing is what we do, our job is the most important.”

Lopetegui’s comments kind of hammer home just how many good players we have at West Ham.

Anad he didn’t even mention the likes of Tomas Soucek, Aaron Cresswell, Kurt Zouma, Ben Johnson and of course, the inured Jarrod Bowen.

The Hammers have more than enough players who should be able to cause Sevilla real problems at the London Stadium tonight.

Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that they all turn up.

We think they will, and fancy us to win 2-0 or 3-1…COYI X
