Worrying reports emerge as transfer specialist makes big claim about West Ham United star Declan Rice and his desire to play for a club like Liverpool.
Dean Jones has been speaking to Give Me Sport about Rice’s future, with Liverpool keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old England international.
Jurgen Klops is allegedly keen to bring the West Ham skipper to Anfield in the summer of 2023.
Rice’s future at the London Stadium kind of has an ominous feeling about it doesn’t it?

In all fairness, we all knew deep down that Rice will be leaving in the summer. It’s just harder to accept when the player comes out and clearly hints at that being the case.
But where will Dec end up? Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are all keen to sign the 23-year-old according to The Independent.
Chelsea seem to be the most likely destination for the England international, but they are far from in a great place at the moment, and have their work cut out to make the top four.
The same can be said for Manchester United. Meanwhile, Manchester City are so strong that it could be argued that Rice would be far from guaranteed to play regularly under Pep Guardiola.
So could Liverpool be the front-runners for Dec?
Worrying reports emerge as transfer specialist makes claim about West Ham star Declan Rice
There are those who believe that Dec wants to remain in London when he does eventually leave the Hammers.
It seems as though that’s not necessarily the case though.
Dean Jones has been speaking to Give Me Sport, and suggested that Rice would indeed be open to joining Liverpool in the summer of 2023:
Rice is almost certain to leave West Ham this summer and it is looking increasingly like his price-tag is more reachable than at any point in the recent past. It has been reported that £70m could be enough to seal the signing of Rice and Liverpool would be a serious consideration for the player if they reach out.
Chelsea are seen as strong favourites for Rice yet the player has indicated to people around him that moving out of London would not faze him. Liverpool’s success and history could appeal and while he might not seem like quite same same player as Bellingham, he has huge drive to become the all-round midfielder. He has already proven he is more than just a DM and had spent plenty of time studying the likes of Yaya Toure and Patrick Vieira in search of becoming the perfect midfield player.

Rice moving to Liverpool would hardly be a shock.
Klopp currently has Fabinho as his first-choice defensive midfielder, but the Brazilian will be 30 next season, so the German needs to find a successor for him over the course of the next 12 months.
Rice is actually streets ahead of Fabinho in my personal opinion, although Liverpool fans will undoubtedly disagree.
The 23-year-old has transformed into more of a box-to-box midfielder than a defensive one, and it remains to be seen whether or not that makes him more attractive to the world’s biggest clubs.
It’s just such a shame that Dec leaving the London Stadium almost feels like a formality now.
Worrying reports have emerged about West Ham star Declan Rice, and his openness to joining Liverpool in the summer.
Whether the Reds will win the race for the Hammers star next year remains to be seen though.
