West Ham United will happily accept any offers that come their way for Craig Dawson in the January transfer window.

That’s according to Claret and Hugh who claim that David Moyes will be fine with the 32-year-old leaving this winter, following Nayef Aguerd’s fine form out at the World Cup and with Kurt Zouma likely to make a quick return to action from knee surgery.

Dawson is allegedly keen to leave the London Stadium in January, in order to move closer to his family in the north of England.

Caught Offside recently claimed that £4 million could be enough to tempt West Ham into selling.

However, Dawson has just six months remaining on his Hammers contract. And it seems as though Moyes and the club’s owners are now prepared to accept any kind of fee for the centre-back…

Claret and Hugh reckon that the Hammers will ‘gratefully receive’ any offers for the experienced defender in January.

Losing Dawson will be a big blow in my opinion. Michail Antonio once called Dawson ‘unbelievable’ (Football Daily Podcast).

He’s a vitally important player for us both on the pitch and behind the scenes.

We may not be seeing Dawson in a West Ham shirt for much longer unfortunately.

This one seems as though it will almost certainly happen doesn’t it?

If Dawson is allowed to leave in the January transfer window, it will be vitally important for Moyes to bring in someone with similar qualities to the 32-year-old.

Whether the Scot has anyone in mind remains to be seen.

David Moyes faces a busy January transfer window ahead of him at West Ham.

And should Dawson be allowed to leave, it’s clear to see what position will need strengthening first and foremost.
