West Ham have sped up their move to sign Spezia centre-back Jakub Kiwior after Kurt Zouma underwent knee surgery yesterday.
That’s according to a report from Tuttosport who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is really keen to bring the 22-year-old Poland international to the London Stadium.
It is suggested that Napoli, AC Milan and Juventus all want to sign the Spezia ace as well.
Originally, Moyes wanted to bring Kiwior to West Ham in the summer for around £13 million.

Because of Zouma’s knee surgery though, the Hammers boss has allegedly now brought forward his plan…
West Ham now want to sign Jakub Kiwior in January
Tuttosport reckon that the Hammers have expedited their move to sign the Polish World Cup star.
We think that the Pole would be a tremendous addition for the Hammers. He has been described as Poland’s most sought-after player.
And considering his age, he will be someone who just keeps getting better and better.
He is a left-footed centre-back but can operate as a defensive midfielder as well, and that versatility would obviously appeal to David Moyes and Antonio Conte.

In 22 Serie A appearances last season, Kiwior averaged 2.3 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 2.2 clearances per game (Who Scored).
The Polish ace stands at 6ft 2in tall and is very energetic and mobile.
The Spezia defender is a proper athlete, but it must be said that he is totally unproven in the Premier League. Players a lot better than Kiwior have arrived in the Premier League and failed to succeed.
However, Kiwior does seem to have all the attributes needed to succeed in England. So I believe that he will be more than worth the reported £13 million fee needed to sign him.
And if West Ham do sign Jakub Kiwior in January, we will be a much stronger defensive unit as a result.
