Wolves have thrown their hat in the ring in the race to sign a West Ham United fringe player in the January window.
West Ham and Wolves are both expected to be very busy in the January transfer window, with David Moyes and Gary O’Neill in desperate need of reinforcements at the London Stadium and Molineux respectively.
However, the Hammers boss will be keen to move on some of the dead wood as well, in order to balance the books.
One of those players will be Danny Ings – someone who has been heavily linked with a move away from the London Stadium recently.
Moyes paid around £15 million to bring Ings to the London Stadium from Aston Villa 12 months ago (Sky Sports), but the 31-year-old will go down as one of the worst signings we’ve made in recent history.
The striker has a woeful record of just three goals in 39 games for West Ham to his name (Transfermarkt) – a truly shocking tally.
And it now seems like he could be off…

Wolves now want to sign West Ham man in the January window
The Telegraph claim that Wolves are eyeing up a move to sign Ings from West Ham this winter.
I cannot wait until the 31-year-old leaves the London Stadium – he has been absolutely dreadful for us.
It is so obvious to see that the former Villa, Southampton, Liverpool and Burnley forward is painfully ill-suited Moyes’s system.
The 31-year-old, who was described by Moyes earlier this year as ‘as good as it gets’ (Sky Sports), has experienced quite the fall from grace over the past year or so.
In addition to his obvious physical limitations, his work-rate and application has been non-existent in a Hammers shirt as well.
I’m sure he’ll still be able to forge a decent career for himself in the Championship, but he really shouldn’t be anywhere near the West Ham squad, let alone the starting XI.
And if Wolves sign Ings in the January transfer window, I will be absolutely delighted.
