West Ham United’s move for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma could now be BACK ON just hours after it reportedly collapsed.

That’s according to respected Telegraph journalist Jason Burt, who has sources high up inside West Ham.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Zouma, who is said to have been David Moyes’s prime defensive target all summer.

Hopes had risen that the Hammers were set to sign Zouma after Sky Sports reported a £25m deal was close to completion.

Despair for West Ham after Zouma deal reportedly collapsed

West Ham insider ExWHUemployee made similar claims, saying the deal was further advanced than the club’s doomed move for Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic ever was.

But Hammers fans received a hammer blow earlier this evening when TF1 and Get French Football News claimed the deal had collapsed.

That was despite a medical being booked. The reports claimed the plug was pulled on Zouma’s imminent move to the London Stadium due to a disagreement between West Ham and Chelsea.

Respected journalist claims deal could be BACK ON

Telegraph reporter Burt made a similar claim on Twitter soon after.

“Told that talks between West Ham and Kurt Zouma’s agent are proving very difficult,” Burt said on Twitter.

“Move from Chelsea now in danger of collapse.”

But he has quickly backtracked, claiming he has now been told the move could be back on.

He added: “Should have waited before tweeting… just as I sent that was told deal could be back ON after all! Stand down.”

The transfer – as with all big money moves – is clearly a fluid situation.

But there is never a dull moment with West Ham.

And it wouldn’t be a West Ham transfer if there wasn’t some drama along the way.

Claims that the Zouma move could be back on will please Chelsea fans as it would mean the Blues can press ahead with plans to use the money to sign Sevilla and France star Jules Kounde.

In other news, Neville makes massive claim about West Ham duo and it’s the ultimate compliment.

And West Ham could be set for double raid on Chelsea.
