West Ham are eyeing an ‘ambitious’ move to sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement for Declan Rice.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is being eyed by West Ham as the ideal replacement for Declan Rice.

The report claims that the Hammers will only try to sign the 28-year-old Lazio ace if Rice, 24, is sold this summer.

Signing a top-class central midfielder will be absolutely vital for David Moyes, if he is to take West Ham to another level after Rice leaves the London Stadium.
And it seems as though the Scot has a seriously ambitious plan in mind…
West Ham eyeing hugely ‘ambitious’ Declan Rice replacement
Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that Lazio will no longer be able to demand £88 million for the Serbian, with his contract set to expire in the Italian capital in the summer of 2024.
Quite how much the Serie A side will demand for the midfielder is unclear, but he won’t come cheap, that’s for sure.
West Ham signing the Lazio star this summer would certainly be a big statement.
Milinkovic-Savic is a truly exceptional talent.

Football Italia recently described the midfielder as an ‘unstoppable’ player. Meanwhile, The Laziali label him as ‘world-class’.
The Lazio star is an absolute powerhouse of a midfielder. He’s technically very good and is a superb passer of the football. He can play in the deep-lying midfield role, in an orthodox central midfield position or even in a more attacking role.
The Serbia international has eight goals and eight assists to his name in 38 games for Lazio so far this season (Transfermarkt).
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic would be a very good replacement for Declan Rice at West Ham. However, I must say that I would prefer the Hammers to sign a younger model – someone in the mould of Ibrahim Sangare, Khephren Thuram or Sofyan Amrabat.
