Ideal reckon that the 20-year-old actually received a proposal from the young left-back in the summer window.
However, he chose to move back to his homeland instead in order to link up with Granada.
It will be interesting to keep a close eye on his situation with Granada this season. If he performs well, West Ham may well come back in for him.

The young left-back has been described as ‘excellent’ by Manchester Evening News.
Fernandez possesses real pace and has impressive stamina levels for someone so young. He is an attacking full-back in every sense, and can even play as a left midfielder or a left winger.
The Spaniard definitely has the ability and talent needed to make it at the very highest level of the game.
And if Alvaro Fernandez is a hit out in Spain this season, I would like to see West Ham go back in for him next summer. Moyes certainly needs to add a top-class left-back to his ranks before the beginning of next season.
