West Ham United are reportedly keeping tabs on Manchester united youngster Alvaro Fernandez this summer.
According to a report from the Mirror, the 20-year-old Manchester United left-back is firmly on the radar of West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a talented young left-back to provide competition and cover for Emerson Palmieri, with Aaron Cresswell well past his best and seemingly trying to leave the London Stadium.

If West Ham are to make real progress as a team, we need young and energetic full-backs.
Moyes was linked with a move to sign right-back Ivan Fresneda earlier today. And now it seems like a left-back could be on his way to East London as well…
West Ham could now try to sign Manchester United talent Alvaro Fernandez
The Mirror reckon that the Hammers are one of numerous clubs keen on signing the Man United defender this summer.
He would be a really interesting addition for West Ham, if Moyes manages to bring him to East London from Manchester.
The young left-back has been described as ‘excellent’ by Manchester Evening News.

Fernandez possesses real pace and has impressive stamina levels for someone so young. He is an attacking full-back in every sense, and can even play as a left midfielder or a left winger.
The Spaniard is a really tenacious tackler, is a hard-worker and has a win-at-all-costs mentality.
I think that if West Ham could get Alvaro Fernandez on a loan deal, it would be good business for the club.
However, the inclusion of an option to buy will be a necessity in my opinion. That way we can sign him permanently if he’s a huge hit at the London Stadium – something that I’m sure he would be.
