West Ham transfer news: David Moyes confident of dealing big blow to Tottenham by signing 27-year-old who ‘oozes brilliance’.

According to a report from Bild, West Ham are quietly confident of beating Tottenham to the signature of Jonathan Tah in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers and Spurs will obviously both be on the look-out to bolster their respective central defensive ranks this summer.

David Moyes needs to bring in a top-class central defender to replace Craig Dawson, after the 32-year-old was allowed to leave the London Stadium in January.

And it seems as though the Scot has his eye on someone in particular…

Bild reckon that the Hammers are in pole position to sign the Bayer Leverkusen defender this summer.

I think that Jonathan Tah would be an exceptional addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium, and beating Spurs to his signature would be an extra bonus.

The German is an exceptional passer of the football and is very comfortable in possession. This season, he has made 45.9 passes per game on average in the Bundesliga and has recorded a mightily impressive completion rate of 88.6% (Who Scored).

Standing at 6ft 5in tall, the German is physically imposing and is an absolute monster in the air.

He could be available for just €20 million (£17 million) according to Kicker.
