West Ham United must pay £30 million for Elye Wahi if we want to sign him this summer, but Chelsea have made the first move.

According to a report from the Daily Mirror (print edition July 27th, page 54), Montpellier are demanding £30 million for Elye Wahi from West Ham and Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The East London outfit are allegedly very keen to sign the 21-year-old speed demon this summer.

And considering the state of the current transfer market, Moyes can do just that for a very reasonable fee…

West Ham told to pay £30 million for Elye Wahi but Chelsea make first bid

Montpellier have allegedly informed West Ham and Chelsea that it will take £30 million to sign the 21-year-old forward this summer.

Described by Transfermarkt as ‘incredible’, Wahi has absolutely everything needed to go on and become a huge star in the game.

He is an absolute speed demon and has the kind of pace that terrifies defenders.

The young Frenchman possesses something completely different to Moyes’s current striker options, what with his unbelievable speed and movement.

The 21-year-old is an incredible finisher as well. Last season, he bagged 19 goals and six assists in 33 Ligue 1 games for Montpellier (Transfermarkt).

£30 million for Elye Wahi sounds like superb value to me, and I really hope that West Ham manage to beat Chelsea to his signature this summer.
