West Ham United are allegedly stepping up our interest in signing Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.
That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim that the Hammers could face competition from Arsenal for the 25-year-old Manchester City ace.
If there is any way of making this one happen, David Moyes has just got to do it. Wow, what a signing Zinchenko would be for West Ham.
Moyes desperately needs to bolster his left-back and central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
And with that in mind, signing someone who can play in both positions would be just ideal wouldn’t it!
West Ham step up interest in signing Manchester City left-back
The Evening Standard claim that the Hammers and Arsenal are battling it out for Zinchenko’s signature this summer.
Signing the left-back this summer would be a sensational move for West Ham.
The Ukraine international is a real talent. He has been described by Pep Guardiola as ‘absolutely brilliant’.
He possesses unbelievable technique for a left-back and that’s no surprise given the fact that he began his career as a winger.
Perhaps the key to West Ham being able to sign him will be offering him the chance to play in his favoured central midfield role.
We truly believe that Manchester City left-back Zinchenko would be an excellent signing for West Ham.
His experience of winning four Premier League titles would be a major boost to the dressing room at the London Stadium as well.
The Ukrainian would undoubtedly take the Hammers to another level. There is one very big problem though…
Club insiders Claret and Hugh reckon that City will demand around £40 million for the Ukrainian ace. And unfortunately, that may well put him out of our price-range.
