Vladimir Coufal is unhappy at West Ham United and as a result, David Moyes could look to bring in a new right-back in January.
West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal was recently handed a one-year contract extension – but the 31-year-old is unhappy because he thinks he’s deserving of a longer term deal.
Hammers boss David Moyes already has so much work to do in the January transfer window this month, and if we’re being honest, the addition of a new right-back can probably wait until the summer.
That decision may well be taken out of the Scot’s hands it seems though.
Coufal’s unhappiness at the London Stadium could mean that West Ham have to cash in on the Czech Republic international this month, and then subsequently have to replace him…

West Ham could make transfer decision with Vladimir Coufal unhappy
The 31-year-old could now be moved on in January, according to high level club insiders Claret and Hugh.
I would be very surprised if Coufal did end up leaving this month, but if his situation doesn’t change, I reckon he may well be moved on in the summer.
Signed from Slavia Prague for £5 million back in October 2020 (Sky Sports), the Czech Republic international has gone on to be an extremely reliable member of Moyes’s first-team squad.
He’s actually been in fine form this season, and has experienced somewhat of a renaissance.
In 19 Premier League games this season, Coufal has bagged five assists. During those appearances, the 31-year-old has averaged 2.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 2.8 clearances per match (Who Scored).
The experienced right-back always puts a shift in and is a fan favourite because of his die-for-the-cause attitude.
However, it seems as though Vladimir Coufal could be set to leave West Ham, although as mentioned earlier, I can’t see that happening in the January transfer window.
