One West Ham United regular seemingly could be set for an exit from the London Stadium this summer.
The upcoming summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham manager David Moyes.
It seems like every summer window that rolls around is an extremely hectic one for the Hammers.
The West Ham boss has a big squad overhaul on his hands, if he is still in charge at the London Stadium of course!
That’s because up to 12 players could leave West Ham at the end of the season, and Moyes will have to bring in plenty of new faces.
However, in addition to those 12, there is now another Hammer being linked with the exit door. I know not every report will have any truth behind it, but this one definitely feels like it could happen…
West Ham player with 147 appearances could leave this summer
Back in 2020, Moyes made a succession of really important signings that ended up transforming us into challengers for the top seven in the Premier League table.
Jarrod Bowen, Vladimir Coufal, Tomas Soucek, Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma all arrived at the London Stadium between January and October of 2020.
The first four names on that list were all huge hits, whilst Benrahma had his moments as well. Dawson left last year and Benrahma was moved on in January of this year.
Now another one from that list could be set to follow suit…
Hammers right-back Vladimir Coufal is a transfer target for Turkish giants Besiktas, according to a report from Fotomaç.
Coufal has made 147 appearances for West Ham since joining us from Slavia Prague in October 2020 (Transfermarkt).
The West Ham owners recently activated a 12-month extension option they held in the Czech Republic international’s contract – something that the player was said to be unhappy about because he thought he deserved a pay-rise.
Coufal has actually been pretty poor since all the talk of him demanding more money emerged last month.
And if the 31-year-old leaves West Ham to join Besiktas this summer, you won’t see any grumbles from me.
