West Ham officially miss out on one of David Moyes’ top summer transfer targets
The 26-year-old has now joined Monaco on a permanent deal worth around £17 million.
Some might say that we didn’t even need Zakaria anymore after our recent midfield acquisitions.

The thing is, with Declan Rice having left and Flynn Downes and Lucas Paqueta seemingly heading for the exit door as well, Moyes still needs to sign another central midfielder, despite the recent additions of Alvarez and JWP.
So the Hammers boss will definitely have to start looking elsewhere for further central midfield additions.
There are plenty of players out there available including the likes of Khephren Thuram, Ibrahim Sangare and Sofyan Amrabat.
Whatever happens, Moyes needs to get another top-class midfielder through the door before the summer transfer window slams shut in 17 day’s time.
