West Ham now want to sign Mohammed Kudus teammate

West Ham United are reportedly now keen a teammate of Mohammed Kudus in the January transfer window.

Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham United in the summer from Ajax, and he has already made a huge impact at the club, although he’s currently away at AFCON with Ghana, so David Moyes is unable to call upon him, and won’t be for quite a while.

The Hammers are desperately searching for more attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window with Kudus away, and numerous injuries to key players including Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta.

With that in mind, Moyes could make a move to sign one of Mo Kudus’s international teammates.

Joseph Paintsil is firmly on the West Ham United radar, according to an exclusive report from the Sun, and he could be available for an absolute bargain fee of just £7 million this winter.

I would take the 25-year-old Genk star in a heartbeat…

West Ham eyeing up Mohammed Kudus teammate

The Sun reckon that with Said Benrahma likely to leave the London Stadium this summer, Paintsil is someone who could come into the club.

The 25-year-old has nine goals and five assists to his name in 29 games for Genk so far this season (Transfermarkt).

The Ghanaian can play on either wing or in the number 10 position, but he is at his best out wide on the right.

What makes him fairly unusual for a modern day winger is the fact that he’s right footed and plays on the right. Very old school indeed!

Paintsil has pace to burn and often tries to beat his man, get to the byline and whip in crosses. His style of play would offer the Hammers so much more variation to the way in which we current attack as a team.

And if the 25-year-old Genk star is even half as good as Mohammed Kudus, West Ham could have a serious player on our hands this month.

I’m sure that Kudus will be in Moyes’s ear giving him the lowdown on his Ghana international teammate. If he’s good enough for Mo, he’s good enough for me!
