West Ham are leading the race to sign Armando Broja with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel now ‘likely’ to sell the striker.

That’s according to a report from Evening Standard who claim that the Hammers are ready to make a £30 million bid for the 20-year-old Chelsea star.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel decided not to take Broja on his side’s pre-season tour of America in the clearest indication yet that he could be moved on from Stamford Bridge.

The main priority for David Moyes will be to sign a top-class centre-forward this summer to come in and compete with 32-year-old Michail Antonio.

The Jamaica international is the only striker option Moyes has had at his disposal since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax way back in January 2021.

It seems as though the Scot has a great chance to change all of that this summer though…

Chelsea likely to sell Broja

The Hammers lead the race to sign the 20-year-old Chelsea hitman according to a report from The Evening Standard.

And it is claimed that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is now likely to let Broja leave this summer.

Moyes should be doing everything in his power to bring the 20-year-old striker to the club this summer after the latest update.

He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.

The Chelsea owned ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).

It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.

Hopefully Chelsea do decide to sell Broja this summer. And if West Ham win the race for the Albanian, we will be in a really strong position ahead of the new season.
