West Ham will allegedly have to pay around €20 million (£17 million) if we want to sign Ludovic Blas from Nantes in the summer.
That’s according to Sport Italia journalist Rudy Galetti who claims that the Hammers could face competition from Newcastle for the 24-year-old’s signature.
West Ham manager David Moyes will be an incredibly busy man in the transfer market this summer.
The Scot needs to bring a striker, a centre-back, a left-back and a central midfielder to the London Stadium.
It could be argued that West Ham boss needs to add an elite attacking midfielder to his ranks as well. Moyes’s preference is believed to be Jesse Lingard but there are other options out there.
And it seems as though Moyes could go shopping in Ligue 1…
West Ham find out Ludovic Blas summer price
The Hammers are keen to sign the 24-year-old attacking midfielder this summer according to a report from Football Transfers.
Sport Italia journalist Rudy Galetti reckons that it will take around £17 million to prise Blas away from Nantes this summer:
We think that represents sensational value for West Ham.
Blas is a left-footed attacking midfielder who is most comfortable when playing in the number 10 position, although he can play out wide as well.
The 24-year-old possesses exceptional technique and has impressive pace and energy. The Frenchman is pretty strong as well – something that bodes well for his chances of adapting to the physicality of the Premier League.
He has been described as ‘incredible’ by former Liverpool ace Pedro Chirivella who suggested that he is better than any other player he has played alongside (Daily Star).
Blas has bagged 12 goals and two assists in 31 games for Nantes so far this season. He’s not just a flash in the pan either. Last term he racked up 11 goals and five assists in 39 games (Transfermarkt).
The 24-year-old would be a truly sensational addition for West Ham in the summer and we think he would actually be a better signing for us than Jesse Lingard.
Bringing him to the London Stadium for just £17 million in the summer seems like an absolute no-brainer for David Moyes.
Whether we are able to beat Newcastle to Blas’s signature, however, remains to be seen.
