West Ham United might face a shock ahead after Brazilian winger Tete recently made a ‘Liverpool dream’ admission.

David Moyes allegedly wants to bring the 22-year-old winger to the London Stadium. However, Liverpool may well be a problem for the Scot.

Tete is currently on loan with Lyon from Shakhtar Donetsk.

It was recently suggested that any club that wishes to sign the Brazilian in January would have to reach an arrangement to buy out the player’s current loan deal with Lyon.

I would love to see Tete at the London Stadium. It wouldn’t be unrealistic to think that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could try to bring him to Anfield though.

And the South American’s recent comments should be a concern for the Hammers…

Liverpool manager Klopp is keen to bolster his attacking ranks with the world’s best young talents, according to the Mirror.

And Tete certainly fits into that category.

The Brazilian has made it clear where he would love to play his football at some point.

Speaking to Globo Esporte before he left Shakhtar Donetsk to the join Lyon on loan, Tete said:

I dream of playing for Liverpool, Manchester United, but I’m focused on Shakhtar. We have a few years of my contract. I will play my part, I am concerned with giving my best to Shakhtar.

So if Liverpool do come in for the winger, West Ham will have our work cut out, if we are to sign him.

I have to say, this would be a truly exceptional signing for whichever club wins the race for his signature.

He allegedly could be available for just £25 million as well – an absolute bargain.

The 22-year-old has bagged seven goals and eight assists in 24 games for Lyon since joining them in March. He racked up 31 goals and 15 assists in 108 games for Shakhtar (Transfermarkt).

Tete possesses skill and pace in abundance and his playing style is quintessentially Brazilian.

He’s only 22, so is far from the finished article. The South American has so much talent and potential though. He has been described as a ‘stunning player’ by Ligue 1’s official website.

Tete could go on to become one of the elite wingers in world football if he continues to work hard and applies himself correctly both on and off the pitch.

Signing Tete for £25 million would be a stunning deal for West Ham. Let’s hope that Moyes and the Hammers owners make it happen.

West Ham might face a shock though, after Tete made the ‘Liverpool dream’ admission last year. Let’s see whether Klopp tries to take advantage of that in the January transfer window.
