West Ham United reportedly could miss out on signing Alex Scott from Bristol City this summer.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Bristol City are demanding £25 million for Alex Scott – a fee that West Ham are reluctant to pay for the 19-year-old in the summer transfer window.

A recent report suggested that West Ham were prepared to pay round £22 million for Scott.

So could Hammers boss David Moyes really miss out on one of England’s most exciting young talents for just £3 million? That seems to be the case unfortunately…

TEAMtalk reckon that the Hammers are reluctant to meet the Robins’ £25 million asking price for the 19-year-old this summer.

If that’s true, I reckon it could end up being a catastrophic mistake from West Ham.

Scott is a sensational young talent, and I have no doubts in my mind that he’ll go on to become one of the very best midfielders in England over the next five years or so. £25 million will end up looking like a bargain – I’m sure of it.

Total Football Analysis have labelled Scott as ‘incredible’. He has also been described as an excellent player by Bristol City’s official website.

He’s a central midfielder by trade but can operate further forward in the number 10 position or even out on the right wing if need be.

Alex Scott is an incredibly gifted young player, and the ‘new Jack Grealish‘ apparently could now be Bournemouth bound instead of West Ham this summer.

If the Hammers do miss out on the Bristol City youngster there needs to be serious questions asked of the board and Moyes.
